Monroe County is celebrating the opening of a new clinic.
Monroe Primary Care will provide care from board-certified and family nurse practitioners. According to a release from the Forsyth-Monroe County Chamber of Commerce, services include health maintenance, chronic and acute disease management, minor injuries, sports physicals, school physicals, immunizations, and womens health care.
The chamber says patients can be seen by appointment or as walk-ins. The clinic will be open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., with extended evening hours becoming available soon. The release said the clinic will accept most insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare, and self-pay patients.
Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m., Monroe County Hospital will celebrate its newest health clinic with a reception and open house. The ribbon cutting, which is scheduled for 6 p.m., will inaugurate the clinic.
Monroe Primary Care is located at 235 Medical Court in Forsyth.
