A four-year-old disabled Georgia boy has lost his "voice" after someone stole a device he uses to speak.
Nikki Hefflefinger said her son Caleb suffers from cerebral
palsy and uses a special DynaVox device to talk.
She said someone stole the device, which resembles a portable
video game, from her car as it was parked outside their
Lawrenceville home.
The $5,000 unit allows Caleb to point to pictures and
communicate with others.
Hefflefinger tells WSB-TV in a Friday story that her son has
been making such great progress with the device that she hasn't been able to tell him that it was stolen.
She's asking the thief to please return the unit so that Caleb
can talk again.
