Several museums around Macon turned into a spook-fest for Halloween. The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, Georgia Music Hall of Fame, Georgia Children's Museum, and the Tubman African American Museum transformed into Halls of Fright.

At each museum, children participated in Halloween games, crafts and activities. They got their hands on some candy as well. Organizers say it is a great way to get kids interested in the museums.

"We decided to get together with the other museums to see if we could provide something safe and fun for children in town. Times are different than they used to be now. Children aren't real safe out at night and so we're trying to give them alternatives," Jackie Decell said.

The Halls of Fright event had special rates. If you bought a ticket for one museum, you could enter the others for free.
