Davis Farms is bring the organic food movement to central Georgia.  But Davis Farms wasn't always growing organic produce.  In fact, owner Naomi Davis says the farm was previously run by her husband's family, to raise hogs for slaughter.

But the Roberta hog farm shut down in the late 1980s. Now, the 25-acre farm is run by Davis, and farm manager Kim Kelly, who both strive to turn the land into a fully sustainable and organic farm.

They've built a greenhouse from recycled materials, and hope to replace it's plastic roof, to make the building more eco-friendly. Fruits and veggies you'll find growing at Davis Farms are pesticide-free and chemical-free.  Soon, land will be cleared for the farm's new orchard.

Davis Farms is a Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA. Shareholders pay a yearly fee, and in exchange, get the farm's produce at discount prices.
