Bibb County voters have approved an extension of a penny sales tax for education.
With all 41 precincts counted, 4,086 people voted yes on the extension and 2,483 said no.
That's 62 percent in favor, 38 opposed.
Voters in all 38 precincts backed the extension, most by large margins.
Bibb County's election supervisor expects a voter turnout of 10 percent or less. The sales-tax extension was the only question on the Bibb ballot.

The current tax is set to expire in December 2010.
If it's approved, the school district will continue to collect one penny for every dollar spent in the county for five years.
The district says it would use the money to build five new elementary schools and pay for renovations and new technology.
County elections supervisor Elaine Carr says today's turnout at the polls has been low.
She says she expects10 percent or less of registered voters in the county will cast a ballot today.
Elaine Carr says, "Every election is an important election, especially a salex tax because it affects you locally as far as how your pennies are spent."
The school district says it hopes to raise more than $176 million dollars through the tax.
Polls close at 7 p.m.
