Monroe County has several road closures, according to Matt Perry, the county's Emergency Management Director.
Smith Road is closed between Forsyth Woods and Collier Road. The dirt portion of English Road is closed, but may be open as soon as after lunch Wednesday.
Marshall Road is closed at Old Brent Road. Perry says the county fire department had to rescue a man at that location around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning, because he tried to drive through the area.
All of those roads are expected to open back up when the water recedes.
Ebenezer Road is expected to be closed for two to three days.
Perry stresses the importance of avoiding closed roads. He says if you see barricades, take authorities' word that it's dangerous to drive through the area.
