The Georgia Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing open house discussing State Route 96 improvements in Peach and Houston county on Tuesday, November 17th.

They plan to discuss the State Route 96 corridor between I-75 and Old Hawkinsville Road/Thompson Mill Road.

Georgia DOT says the proposal involves improvement that would widen 96 and allow more traffic to flow smoothly through the congested Bonaire area, according to a news release.

The hearing will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Perdue Elementary School on Tuesday.

That's on 115 Sutherlin Street in Warner Robins.

DOT representatives will be available to answer questions and show project plans.

For more information contact the Georgia DOT at 706-646-6982.
