The Allman Brothers Big House is almost set to open to the public. But first, some helpers went to the house Saturday for a little tidying up.
About 50 volunteers from Home Depot helped clean up the Big House before its grand opening. They planted trees and plants, raked up shrubbery and moved large rocks.
"Giving back to the community, establishing something that you can be a part of that is bigger than you, that's bigger than the company and always knowing that you put your stamp on the community and you helped other people. It is more rewarding than a paycheck and it is more rewarding than anything else that you can go out and do," said Susan Lykles, volunteer captain from Home Depot.
The house should be finished by December. The grand opening is scheduled for February.
