AUSTIN, Minn. (AP) -- A state official says fatalities have been reported after a tour bus crashed and rolled over in southern Minnesota, but the number of people killed wasn't immediately known.
Minnesota Department of Public Safety spokesman Andy Skoogman says "there are some fatalities" from the crash that happened about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 90 west of Austin.
Authorities earlier said as many as 22 people were injured.
The Post-Bulletin of Rochester identified the bus operator as Strain Bus Line Motorcoach Tours in Rochester. A Strain employee who answered the phone would not give her name, but said the owner was on his way to the scene.
The employee told The Associated Press the company operates a bus every Wednesday from Rochester to Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood, Iowa.
