
Freshman guard Jasmine James scored 25
points and Ashley Houts added 21 for No. 16 Georgia in a 74-57 win over Chattanooga on Thursday night.
The Lady Mocs (1-2) were paced by 20 points from Shanara
Hollinquest and 15 by Jenaya Wade-Fray.
Houts, who grew up 15 minutes from Chattanooga in Trenton, Ga., led the Lady Bulldogs (2-0) back from a halftime deficit.
Chattanooga led 36-33 at the break but Georgia opened the second half on a 14-3 run, with Houts scoring 10 points.
The Lady Mocs pulled within four on two occasions later in the game.
Georgia responded with a 12-4 spurt to open a 12-point cushion
with 3:53 to play.
James capped the run by swishing a 3-pointer
from the left wing and giving a quick fist pump.
