Robins Air Force Base cooked up a big Thanksgiving feast Thursday to serve those who serve our country.
In a little role reversal, the senior leadership of the base manned the serving lines of Wynn Dining Facility on the base.
The meal was open to all active duty members, reservists, retirees, and of course, their families.
The cooks served up all the traditional Thanksgiving fixings, such as turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy.
Lt. Gen. Charles Stenner was one of the servers, and he says the meal is leaderships' way of showing thanks for all the hard work shown by the airmen.
"The role reversal is to serve those who serve," says Stenner. "I think that that's important as well. We are a family here, we are a military family, we are an air force family. And as a family of families, we want to take care of each other."
Other "guest chefs" included Brigadier General Thomas Moore of the 116th Air Control Wing, Brigadier General Lee Levy, with the 402nd Maintenance Wing, and Colonel Carl Buhler, with the 78th Air Base Wing.
