Severe storms, including at least one possible tornado, downed trees and power lines and left damage across Central Georgia.
A possible tornado damaged at least a dozen homes in Smarr.
That's according to Matt Perry, Monroe County's emergency management director.
He said the heaviest damage was in the Callaway Road-Gose Road areas. The damage included shingles blown off and roof damage.
At one home, a utility shed was blown across a yard.
He said there are also reports of flooding in the area and at least one accident blamed on the storm.
In Houston County, power lines downed by fallen trees closed Highway 247 near Highway 96, near Bonaire.
That's according to Kevin Noles, assistant fire chief in Houston County.
Callers are also reporting downed trees in Haddock, Bloomfield and Bass Road in Macon, Byron and Putnam County.
One tree blocked Highway 49 in Jones County before being removed.
Georgia Power spokeswoman Lynn Wallace says about 56 customers in Macon are still without power.
