Several volunteer groups joined together to offer a free Christmas Day dinner for those in need.
At Christ Lutheran Church in Perry, volunteers handed out 132 free turkey dinners with all the holiday sides.
The food came from the community, the Swanson restaurant in Perry, and Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Warner Robins.
Pastor John Lehenbauer says they wanted to do the free meal because they felt the need was there.
Those who showed up said it was a nice chance to get together, and it didn't hurt that the food was free, too.
"This meal is awesome. It's beautiful," says Louis Copeland. "Plus, there's a lot of beautiful people here too."
"It's a great time for everybody to celebrate the holidays,"says Kelly Long. "Whether it's different denominations, or different churches all coming together at the same time. "
Lehenbauer says this is the first year the church hosted the free dinner, but they hope to make it an annual event.
