Middle Georgia's own Jason Aldean visited his hometown during a nationwide concert tour.

Aldean greeted fans and friends at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Macon Saturday.

The country music star is a Macon native and says this was the first time he ever visited the museum.

Aldean says he's glad to be home spending time with family and friends.

Aldean says he was discovered at the age of 15 while playing at Nashville South. He started his professional career several years ago and released his first single in 2005.

He's had some number one hits, including the song, "My Big Green Tractor."

Aldean says, "to be able to come home and play our show, and look out there and see some familiar faces is always great, this is really our first major crack at doing a major tour."

Tickets for Aldean's concert were sold out before his performance in Macon Saturday night.
