From prom dresses to bridal gowns, women in Macon got to be the belle of the ball at Theatre Macon, for less than 200 dollars.

About 800 dress were up for grabs for people to try on and model at the downtown theater.

The dresses were donated by a former Warner Robins  business owner whose kids and husband are active in Theatre Macon.

Some dresses are worth up to 900 dollars, but you'll only pay anywhere from thirty to 125 bucks to take one home.

Shelley Kuhen with Theatre Macon says it's a great way to help women find the perfect dress and bring in donations to their program.

"It's really great because the economic times are kind of rough right now and we are a non-profit organization, just like any other non-profit organization we depend on things like this so this is huge for us," says Kuhen.

If you  missed your chance to go try on a dress, the dress drive well still be going on on from 2p.m.-5p.m. on Sunday January 31 at Theatre Macon on Cherry Street.
