As part of the Cherry Blossom Festival events, members of the Greater Atlanta Dog and Disc Club tossed around the frisbee with their four-legged friends Sunday afternoon.
The club shows off the dogs' frisbee skills every year at the Cherry Blossom Festival, to teach people how to play and interact with their dogs.
The trainers say it takes about two years to get the dogs ready to compete.
Club board member and trainer Melissa Heeter says it's great to watch people learn new tricks with man's best friend.
"My favorite part of teaching people how to play with their dog is to teach them how to interact with their dog and to teach them how to have their pet become part of them family. It's funny that the most important part is to take the dog from the backyard to the park and have them interacting, so I enjoy teaching people." says Melissa Heeter.
This is the 19th year that the Greater Atlanta Dog and Disc Club has been at the Cherry Blossom Festival.
Next year they hope to have a big frisbee competition for the people that bring their dogs to the festival.
