Scene 13: July Goes Out With A Bang at Bragg Jam!

Bragg Jam returns! And it's bigger and better than ever. More than forty bands will take to the stage this Saturday in downtown Macon. Performers headlining the event include Athens band All Good and homegrown artists Demun Jones & Lamar Williams, Jr. The Concert Crawl begins at 5 p.m. There are nine venues to choose from. You can walk or hitch a ride on the trolleys. Several locations will be open to music fans of all ages. Armbands cost $20.

Earlier in the day, there's family fun at Bragg Jam's Arts at the Park on Third Street. There'll be vendors, arts and crafts, music, and other live performances. It all gets going at 10 a.m. and ends when the Concert Crawl begins.

The Tubman African American Museum honors its namesake with a new exhibit. "Harriet Tubman: The Moses of Her People" celebrates the courage and sacrifice of a woman who dedicated her life to the service of others. The exhibit includes photos and local artwork, as well as historical documents. Come celebrate the opening this Friday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. There will be food and live music. The Georgia National Fair kicks off in two months. But, tickets for live concerts go on sale this Saturday. Choose from two performances.
