"Thyroid Cancer Survivor. December 2013 I asked my Doctor to do an ultrasound of my thyroid. I have had Hashimoto's since the early 90s. They found nodules that were biopsied in January and it immediately came back cancerous. February 2014 I had a total thyroidectomy. Pathology came back as "Multifocal Micropapillary Carcinoma of the Thyroid". Thankfully it had not spread to the lymph nodes. By April I had to have an ablation with radioactive iodine. I could not take my thyroid medication until my scan came back clean that all active thyroid was gone. This meant I could barely get around to function and was always in pain. I am happy to say that every year I have a scan and blood work to make sure there is no regrowth and after 2 years I have had none."

"Hope is an anchor for the soul. Hebrews 6:19. 7 year breast cancer survivor at age 38. 2014 cancer returned. Now Stage 4 with metastasis to liver, both lungs, bone, lymph nodes and chest wall. Staying positive, appreciating the little things in life, making sweet memories with my family and making the most of each day. Blessed to still feel good despite chemo and to be able to share my story 7 years later!"
