Thanksgiving baby born at Macon Coliseum Hospital

Mother talks about her child's birth on Thanksgiving Day in Macon.

A Central Georgia mother has a little extra to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Johneshia Brown gave birth to her daughter Jamilla Thomas at Coliseum Medical Center.

Jamilla was born at 7:49 Thursday morning. She weighed in at 6lbs 2oz.

“She’s really sweet, and she’s not like a crybaby or anything like that,” Brown said. “She’s just loveable.”

Thomas knew she was close to giving birth but didn’t think it would happen on Thanksgiving. Brown has three other children, and says she’s thank it’s fitting she would give birth on a day all about thanks.

“It’s crazy I was already thankful for a lot, I think I would have her on Thanksgiving on a day everybody is thankful for everything, including family and adding her to the family,” Brown said.

She says she has high hopes for the newest addition to their family.

“Just be successful, be happy in life, reach all her dreams and travel the world,” Brown said.

Brown says her family plans to call Jamilla "turkey boo."
