"That's not my ice" -- Macon man arrested for meth possession

A Macon man is in the Bibb County jail after deputies found him with meth and a pipe this past weekend.

According to an incident report, deputies were sent to the Palm Tree Extended Stay on Riverside Drive Saturday.

Hotel management said their housekeeper told them a man had walked up to her and was waving a gun around while saying he had killed a dog.

When the two deputies went to the man’s room, they found several people inside.

The man matching the housekeeper’s description, 31-year-old Kenneth Slaughter, showed the deputies his hands and ‘jumped out of the chair’ saying he didn’t have any weapons.

The report also notes Slaughter was ‘extremely excitable’ and making quick movements.

When the deputies patted down Slaughter, they came across a pistol magazine holding six rounds and a pipe he said he just smoked out of.

A box of Newports on the chair that Slaughter was sitting in had several baggies full of crystal meth.

He was then arrested and charged with possession of meth and possession of drug related paraphernalia.

While on the way to jail, he reportedly told deputies, “If I had known it was there I would’ve smoked it,” and, “Everyone knows I smoke ice, but that’s not my ice.”

The drugs were sent to the crime lab and the weapon was never found.
