Some families in Twiggs County haven't had a hot meal since Monday.
On Thursday, the county Board of Education decided to help out.
Kids and adults alike arrived at Jeffersonville Elementary to enjoy a meal of spaghetti, green beans, and bread.
Beside the elementary school, people could also get meals at the Dry Branch Sheriff's Sub-Station and Danville Community Center.
For people who couldn't get out, they deliver.
Superintendent Elgin Dixon says the board's kindness come down to two words -- "What if...?"
"I always try to think of, 'What if..., what if...? What if it was my family? What if it was my grandparents? What if was my mother, my father who was without for this long? What would I want someone to do?'" said Dixon.
Dixon says the meals will continue through Friday.
Jeffersonville Elementary will be open from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Dry Branch and Danville are 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
