Two charged with trafficking meth in Macon

Two people were charged with trafficking methamphetamine in Macon on Thursday.

Katherine Amanda-Lynn Scrimpsher, 25, of Warner Robins and Hennessy Alonzo Whitfield Sr., 39, of Macon were arrested during a traffic stop at about 3 p.m. in the 2600 block of Riverside Drive.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release, investigators found 102 grams of meth with a street value of about $10,000 along other "unidentified powder substances and scales."

They are both in Bibb County jail awaiting an appearance before a magistrate judge for a bond hearing.
