Update: Teen shot at west Macon apartment complex listed in critical condition

Update (8:24p.m.): According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office. The victim, identified as a 15-year-old girl is now listed in critical condition. 

Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 478-751-7500.

Bibb investigators are currently at the scene of a shooting, according to Lt. Randy Gonzalez.

Gonzalez says the person shot call came in around 4 p.m. at building #209 in Blossom Hill Apartments off the 4000-block of Mercer University Drive.

When deputies arrived, they found a woman ‘who appeared to be in her teens’ with a single gunshot wound.

The unidentified woman was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health.

So far there is no word on her condition and investigators have declined to release where the woman was shot.

This is a developing story.
