We are following up on the attempted burglary where one burglar allegedly shot and killed his partner at an East Macon home.

The attempt happened on Bradstone Circle in broad daylight around 10 in the morning with a woman still asleep in her home.

Sheriff David Davis says two men were trying to steal a television when the woman who lived there, Krystalyn May, woke up and started yelling at the intruders.

Davis says as the burglars ran out, one man turned around and fired a shot at the woman, but instead he struck his partner in the head.

James Young, who was 41, died on the scene.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says they have no description of the man who fired the shot.

Neighbors we spoke to say May is currently moving out of the home.

They had no other developments they could share at this time, but did say investigators are following up on leads.

The Sheriff's Office says they are still looking for the other burglar.

The police report shows that he was last seen driving a Black Volkswagen Passat.

They're asking for anyone with information to call the sheriff's office or Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
