13 Accused of Illegal Gambling in Warner Robins

Warner Robins police say they arrested 13 people who are accused of allowing illegal gambling at convenience stores.

The arrests happened after police served search warrants at 11 stores Friday.

A police news release says the raids came at these stores:

7 Star Food Mart, 699 North Davis Drive;
Phone Sweep- Gifts, Games, & Billiards, 836 North Houston Rd;
Bargain Shop,1505 B Elberta Road;
Gift Shop, 1500 B Watson Boulevard;
OM Food Mart; 700 Feagin Mill Road,
Seanna's Lucky Cabin, 1801 B Watson Boulevard;
Frank's Gifts, 2607 D Moody Road;
DJ's Gifts, 789 West Highway 96;
Dev's Food Mart, 413 Belmont Drive;
S&P Food Mart, 1009 South Houston Lake Road;
Gift Shop, 800 Elberta Road.

These people were arrested, according to the release:

Priyankaben Bhagat, 26 years old, Warner Robins;
Dineshchandra Patel, 56 years old, Warner Robins;
Anita Dobson, 60 years old, Warner Robins;
Latricia Adams, 66 years old, Bonaire;
Paresh Patel, 29 years old, Warner Robins;
Kalavati Patel, 39 years old;
Sanjay Patel, 43 years old, Warner Robins;
Craig Lucky, 40 years old, Bonaire;
Seanna Milam, 47 years old, Warner Robins;
Rameschchandra Patel, 54 years old, Warner Robins;
Billy Doolittle, 72 years old, Macon;
January Sweat, 33 years old,Warner Robins;
Hitisha Trivedi, 25 years old, Warner Robins.

All 13 were taken to the Houston County jail, charged with commercial gambling, a felony.

Warner Robins police say the suspects were all managers or clerks in stores where illegal video gambling was happening. Stores may offer players prizes in store credit, but not cash prizes.

Police spokeswoman Tabitha Pugh says they're still investigating and more arrests are expected.
