Centerville daycare donates toys to children in need

The owner of a Centerville daycare, and his staff, have plans to make the holiday season brighter for kids in need.

Jacobs Ladder Educational Center sponsored a Christmas breakfast Saturday morning, to raise donations for Toys for Tots.

Owner Michael Bush says they created two donation stations at the center.

He says parents and Jacobs Ladder students brought in toys for the cause.

Kids were also able to meet Santa, and enjoy a pancake breakfast.

He says he enjoys seeing his community support a good cause.

" It's awesome, because every time a toy goes into that box, there's one more child that's going to get a toy. I love it," said Bush.

Jessica Owens said, "I'm a teacher so I have a huge heart for students and anytime that I have the opportunity to give back or to help someone in need, I would definitely take advantage of that."

Bush says anyone can drop a new, unwrapped toy off at Jacobs Ladder Educational Childcare on Monday morning, December 16.

He says Toys for Tots will pick up the donations around Noon.
