The International city's Independence Day celebration may go on as planned this year if it's up to Blue Duck Events, a local organization that's helped several non-profits put together events. They also put on Vet Fest last year in Warner Robins.
Benny Brantley, President and CEO of Blue Duck Events presented a plan to Warner Robins' city council Tuesday night to keep the Independence Day concert going.
In it he says they project the total cost to be around $100,000. His group would supply the bands, event insurance and rain insurance on top of that.
Brantley asked council to help gain sponsors for the event. Of course it's still early on, nothing was decided at the meeting, but Brantley says they would need the money to secure performers for the concert by April.
