Mayor Randy Toms says those conducting a traffic study for the intersection of Moody Road and Leisure Lake Drive are asking for an extension, one council members are willing to grant.
Some say it's one of Warner Robins' more dangerous intersections
Warner Robins Council met Monday night, and all members agreed to give Wolverton and Associates more time.
Toms says Wolverton and Associates will start on August fifth in order to include school traffic and get accurate results.
"They asked for a couple more weeks so that they could incorporate some more of the school. They want to get the study done during the time when people are in school because that increases the traffic," said Toms.
Mayor Toms says all other terms of the contract with Wolverton remains the same.
"It doesn't cost us any more. They're going to put the two weeks in under the same price under the same contract," said Toms.
The council says traffic coming down Moody Road is heavy. Members cite about ten accidents there per year.
