Meet Our Third and Final Group of New Junior Journalists

The 13WMAZ "Surprise Squad" hit the road Wednesday to find our third and final group of new junior journalists.

Lorra Lynch Jones started the day at the Centerville Library where homeschooler Victoria Landa was catching up on her studies. Victoria says she's looking forward to working with the WMAZ crew.

Then, it was off to Lake Joy Elementary to surprise Kinley Pridgen.

Her teachers say Kinley thought she didn't make the cut because no one from 13WMAZ showed up at her school Monday or Tuesday.

After a big surprise for Kinley, Lorra and the squad ventured over to Hilltop Elementary, where our next junior journalist, Allen Brooks, was eating lunch with friends.

Allen says he wants to be a chief meteorologist when he grows up, just like Ben Jones!

Last but not least, Lorra found Sam Schlenker in the lunch room at Bonaire Middle School. He says he loves watching the news and can't wait to be part of the WMAZ team.

Victoria, Kinley, Allen, and Sam finish off our list of ten new junior journalists. Congratulations also to Malik Bryant, Josh Barker, Hayden Nichols, Samantha Walton, Aman Boricha-Masand, and Hannah Bonney.

They'll have a chance to train with 13WMAZ reporters, and cover "My Teacher is Tops," and other stories on air for the nexttwo years.
