Warrants issued for boyfriend, brother in Macon girl's death

Bibb County Sheriff's Office has issued arrest warrants for a teenager and his older brother in the death of a Macon girl who was shot in the head Wednesday.

Kaytlyn Foster, 17, was shot at Westminster Apartments on North Atwood Drive and died of her injuries Christmas morning.

Warrants have been issued for brothers Romaire Devon King, 16, and Felton Lee King III, 19, both of Warner Robins, according to a sheriff's office news release. Prior to the girl's death the warrants were signed for criminal attempt to commit murder.

While Romaire is a juvenile, he will be charged as an adult, the new release states.

Sheriff's officials tell us through the course of the investigation, they learned that Romaire was the victim's boyfriend.

"I just want justice for my daughter," said Christopher Benion, Foster's father. "She was so beautiful. She had the biggest heart so we are making something good out of this tragic event," he said adding that Kaytlyn was an organ donor.

"Her mother, stepfather and I agree that by us losing our Kay she can save lives because that's the kind of person she was," Benion said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the brothers is urged to call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.

The child's death is the 28th in Bibb County this year, 12 more than last year.
