Young entrepreneurs hold pop-up shop in Macon

It was a day for shopping in downtown Macon as 20 new CEOs debuted their new products at a pop-up shop.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy celebrated its 20 new graduates Saturday after a 30-week program where they learned how to build their own businesses.

They held a pop-up shop on Cherry Street in downtown Macon where the kids showcased items like hand painted sneakers, wood art, and yarn decorations.

Nadia Osman, the program manager for the academy, says they're thrilled to celebrate their graduates, but they're already looking ahead to next year.

“It has been my pleasure and honor to watch these students grow personally and professionally into young CEOs. We're excited about the finale of our first round of the program and about getting started with our second round. We are currently taking applications for the 2017-2018 Young Entrepreneurs Program,” said Osman.
