Georgia national parks earned $348 million

According to the National Park Service, more than 7 million people visited parks in Georgia last year, earning $348 million.

A report by the service says visitor spending helped support almost 5,100 Georgia jobs in 2013.

National park sites in Georgia include Ocmulgee National Monument, Andersonville National Historic site and the Martin Luther King Junior National Historic Site.

The park service says numbers are lower than 2012 because of the partial government shutdown last October.
