Huntsman Gets Early Start to Another Day in NH

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) -- Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman says the "tyranny of the clock" is working against him though he's optimistic that his devotion to getting out and meeting New Hampshire voters will pay off in Tuesday's primary.

Huntsman has lagged far behind front-runner Mitt Romney in fundraising and recent polls.

Huntsman told voters Thursday that rival Rick Santorum's near-win this week in Iowa proves that grass-roots politicking means something. He says he's made the same kind of investment in New Hampshire.

Huntsman spoke Thursday at a business luncheon in Portsmouth.
