Newt Gingrich: The former presidential candidate in 2012 and U.S. House Speaker from 1995 to 1999 got his start in politics as a member of the House of Representatives in 1978.
Sonny Perdue: The 81st governor of Georgia who served from 2003 to 2011. He was the first Republican governor in the state since the 1870s.
Rep. Tom Price: the republican's district covers the north Atlanta suburbs. He's currently chairman of the House Budget Committee. His name is being thrown around for a possible White House job.
Sen. David Perdue: The state's junior senator was one of the first backers of Donald Trump. With a similar business background, Perdue's name is rumoured to be considered for the Commerce Secretary.
Keith Blackwell: The Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court was appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal in 2012. Blackwell graduated from UGA, served as a prosecutor in Cobb County. His name was included on a list of potential supreme court nominees.
Former Rep. Jack Kingston: Kingston lost to Perdue in the republican primaries. He still has a lot of influence in republican circles and is rumoured to be considered for a White House position.
