Subaru of Macon got into the holiday spirit with a pet adoption drive Saturday morning.
They called the event 'Share the Love and Love a Pet' Adoption Drive.
Families could adopt a pet on the spot, and representatives from various shelters in Central Georgia were on hand to answer questions.
Furry friends also got a chance to have their picture taken with Santa Claus and get a free I.D. tag made.
Stephanie Parker with Furever Friends says organizers were hoping to get the word out about adopting from a shelter instead of buying a pet from a breeder or shop.
"There are so many unwanted," Parker says, "and these babies are just wonderful. They make good companions, and all they want is the love."
For every test drive at Saturday's event, Subaru of Macon donated $25 to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
