Ahn's Fitness Center awarded AC Pup with an honorary black belt during their last session.
The Tae Kwon Do campers decided to do a community service project where they donate to the Macon-Bibb Animal Control.
AC Pup is a spokesdog for Animal Control, and the students wanted to honor him with a black belt for the work he does for the animals in the Middle Georgia area.
He and his owner Van VanDeWalker also shared tips with the students at Ahn's Tae Kwon Do camp about the importance of being kind to animals.
"It's very important how we treat our animals, and I know a lot of people want this community to lead the way in this state on the correct treatment of animals," said Van VanDeWalker.
AC helps promote pet adoption, spaying, and neutering and works against animal abuse.
"He has done a great job in bringing the community together and recognizing the need in stopping the overpopulation of animals and having a value and care for your own animals," Janet Battcher said.
AC Pup has a Facebook page with more than 3,500 friends and growing.
The students at the Ahn's Tae Kwon Do camp collected dog food for the Macon Bibb Animal Control.
