All About Animals, a no-kill shelter, hopes to find homes for about 80 dogs and cats in the next 20 days.
The shelter needs to place the pets with families before the facility changes locations.
The group held an event at the 567 Club on Cherry Street in downtown Macon.
They had animals available for adoption on site, as well as pictures of others you can take home.
"You know we have a long way to go funds wise, but we can get there. Basically all of the animals have to have homes by October 1st, or they're in big trouble. So really just getting everybody adopted is vital right now," said volunteer Ashley Croft.
She says they've found homes for about a dozen pets so far.
The group also held a silent auction including items like gift certificates, a UGA gift basket, jewelry and a 2007 used motorcycle.
All the money raised goes to help people with adoption costs.
The group can no longer accept animals.
