Stratford grad Russell Henley officially begins his professional golf career February 16th, as the 2012 Nationwide Tour season kicks off in Colombia.
Henley has a full year's exemption thanks to his victory at the 2011 Stadion Classic in Athens. His first tournament is the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship. The Tour takes a one week break before resuming in Panama with Panama Claro Championship. Henley says he plans on playing no more than three consecutive weekends during 2012, as he gets accustomed to the professional schedule.
The former Bulldog has spent recent weeks playing on the Hooters Tour to get prepared for the next step in his career.
The Top 25 money winners on the Nationwide Tour gain their PGA Tour card for the following season.
