The Bloomsfield Park Center took an extra step to show it's pride for the community.
The center held a park cleanup and tree giveaway event on Saturday.
Members of the community gave a helping hand to make a garden and children decorated rocks to make it more colorful.
Those at the center say they hope the cleanup will have a lasting impact on the area.
"It helps the community become aware of what's going on in the center and also to help them partake in the keep up of the community center since it's their community center," said Coordinator of Bloomfield Park Community Center, Iris King.
King says the event was also in recognition of Earth Day.
