There are only dogs left, 36 of them, still looking for a home at the Macon Animal Shelter. They must be adopted out before June 7th, because the shelter is shutting down for 3-5 days for pest control treatment.
Bright-colored signs have been put up around the highway to raise awareness of the remaining dogs. The animals that don't find a home will face euthanasia.
The first priority is finding the animals a home. Animal Control Officer, Van VaDeWalker says fostering will begin June 1st.
Contact MAC at (478) 751-9200 or reach out to Paws for Hope and Faith to adopt.
