Mike Dyer will be introduced as the new president of the Macon Bibb Chamber of Commerce this morning.
That's according to Leonard Bevill, chairman of the chamber's board of directors.
Dyer has served as interim president for for the past eight months:
Dyer is president and CEO of the Macon Economic Development Commission, and he also led an effort to keep Georgia's sports and music halls of fame in Macon.
Dyer replaces Chip Cherry, who left last year for a job in Alabama.
