Folks in Forsyth are under an outdoor watering ban after a pump at the county reservoir was damaded in Sunday's storms.
Monroe County Emergency Management Director Matthew Perry says they are asking people not to water their yards or wash their cars to conserve water.
"It's just a precautionary measure at this point," said Perry by phone.
The damaged pump is one of two at the county reservoir. Perry said the last time this happened, they put special equipment in at the pumps, so he is not sure what caused the shutdown this time.
Perry said crews are working to fix the pump right now and he cannot say how long it will take to get it back online.
People in Forsyth received a phone call alerting them about the ban Monday afternoon.
