Teens Accused of Trying to Break Into Macon Store

Macon Police arrested two teenagers they say tried to break into a store by hitting the front glass door with a concrete block.

A police news release says it happened at Morris Appliance on Eisenhower Parkway around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night. 

The release says officers responded to a burglar alarm at the store and while checking the area, the noticed the two teens sweating and breathing heavily.

Police took 17-year-old Brandon Yawn and a 16-year-old boy to the Bibb county Jail. 

The 16-year-old was given a juvenile court date and released. Yawn remains in jail.
