Parents of Twiggs County Public Schools students take note: all students will start the year Monday with a half school-day ending at 11:30 a.m.

According to a news release from the school system, classes will end early on Monday because of problems with the air conditioning at Twiggs County Middle/High School.

School spokeswoman Judith Glover told 13WMAZ that all students would be released early, not just the middle- and high-school students.

Glover said officials believe the air conditioning will be fixed by the time classes start the next day, Tuesday, August 7.
