A former Warner Robins police chief died last night.
Billy Hunter, chief from 1977 to 1983, died after a long illness. That's according to Mayor Chuck Shaheen.

Hunter also worked as a school department bus driver and a board director for the Houston County Habitat for Humanity and the Happy Hour Service Center.
Visitation is scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at McCullough Funeral Home.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Southside Baptist Church.
