TLC knows you love her, so the channel is ordering up more Honey Boo Boo.
But here's the really big news: Not only are more episodes of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo but TLC is planning three HOLLAday specials -- Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We're guessing Glitzy the pig is gonna particularly enjoy those!
Amy Winter, general manager of TLC, says in a release that the network is "excited to share even more of Alana and her family's unbridled hilarity, sincerity and love with our viewers."
The show, which premiered in early August 2012 and follows the antics of pageant princess Alana Thompson, 7, and her family in McIntrye, Ga., has averaged 2.3 million viewers to date, says TLC.
Honey topped all individual cable and network broadcasts of the Republican National Convention on Aug. 19 with a 1.3 rating with adults 18-49, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which also noted that Alana's family was asking for a raise for Season 2. They were said to be hoping for $10,000 an episode, but it's more likely they wound up doubling the $4,000-per-episode paycheck they were collecting. TLC has not commented on the contract.
The first half of Honey Boo Boo's season ends tonight at 10 ET/PT with a special one-hour episode titled "It Is What It Is."
