Suspects in Warner Robins homicide arrested in Connecticut

Two arrests were made in Connecticut Thursday in connection to a homicide at a Warner Robins motel that happened in June.

According to a news release from the Hartford Police Department, the Hartford Fugitive Task Force arrested 29-year-old Kendra Tillery and 18-year-old Malik Golden in Waterbury, CT.

They were found sleeping in a 2006 Chevrolet Impala around 7 a.m. Thursday.

They are charged with homicide in the death of 34-year-old Donnell Hawkins at the Budget Inn on Watson Boulevard.

Hawkins was found outside of the motel with a gunshot wound to the torso. He died at the scene.

Jennifer Parson, the public information officer for Warner Robins Police, said a detective is currently in Connecticut questioning both suspects.

Hartford police say the two had slept in the car at various locations throughout the city for two days prior to being arrested.

They are awaiting extradition back to Georgia.
