Priscilla Young feels like she's on Cloud Nine whenever she gets a chance to share a story from one of her favorite books.

"When did I start? There's no tellin'. I've always loved story telling. Every Bible story in this Book has a special message for me first and then for those I tell to. "

And never does she grow bored of telling those stories, especially to people like those here at Baptist Village Retirement Communities in Macon.

"There's enough Bible stories in here to last me the rest of my life."

Young who is also affectionately known as the "Bible Story Lady" says she developed a love for Bible stories by growing up in church. People like Frances Harvey says she always looks forward to seeing and hearing from her.

"I love to hear them. They give you a lift. They just lift your heart and soul up. It does me that way," said Harvey.

It's the kind of feeling Young says folks have expressed to her over the years.

I have a scrapbook full of thank you notes and I cherish these. I've never thrown them away and I've got several scrapbooks just like this one.

She says she's just thankful for the opportunity to inspire through service.

I am blessed, and I can see that those I tell a Bible story to are blessed and that's reward enough for me.

Young says she's a member of Vineville Baptist Church and over the years has told thousands of Bible stories to Central Georgians.
