13WMAZ's Suzanne Lawler and Katelyn Heck made their way from Washington, D.C. to the Jersey shore today.  

People living in the storm-ravaged area told them Superstorm Sandy may have destroyed homes and uprooted trees and knocked out power but it didn't wash away their spirits.
