When Natasha Freeman, a Bibb County mother, went to court for getting into a fight with someone else's child on a school bus, Judge Howard Simms gave her a choice: Go to jail or wear a sign that reads "I made a fool of myself on a Bibb County school bus."

The 38-year-old chose the sign.

Monday morning, from 7-8:30, she was out on the corner of Irving Avenue and Marion Avenue wearing a hand-made sandwich board.

She wasn't alone, though the largest crowd was of local media and a few stray dogs.

Despite the attention it has received, Freeman says this has been a learning experience.

When she's done, she plans to keep the sign as a reminder to keep her hands to herself.
